André Cyr
Director, Purchasing
André Cyr is Director, Purchasing at Britton Electric, a position he has held since 1984. Mr. Cyr is in charge of the Purchasing Department that is responsible for the procurement of all electrical equipment needed for the Company’s operating divisions. He is also responsible for the buying of Company-owned tools and sourcing major equipment rentals needed for specialized work. Additionally, Mr. Cyr plays a key role in negotiating with suppliers to ensure price stability of goods in a cost-sensitive and fluctuating market.
Mr. Cyr’s Department is responsible for expediting material to job sites. The staff work with Project Managers for scheduling to ensure the timely delivery of these goods. The Department also produces shop drawings and maintenance manuals.
Prior to joining Britton Electric, Mr. Cyr worked in the retail electrical sector for 12 years.
Mr. Cyr is very active in community service, holding key positions in sports associations, recreational facilities and local politics. He leads fundraising initiatives for hospitals and the Red Cross. Mr. Cyr is married with 2 children and 3 grandchildren.
