Florent Laplante
Executive Vice-President
Florent Laplante is Executive Vice-President of Britton Electric. His primary responsibilities include business development and customer relations and as a key individual who helped build the Company, he continues to be involved in the day-to-day operations.
As one of the statesmen of Britton Electric, Mr. Laplante combines his warm, outgoing manner with a business-minded approach that provides clients and partners alike with stability, experience and foresight.
Over the years Mr. Laplante has held many positions at Britton Electric. Prior to being promoted to his current post in 1998, he served as Vice-President, Project Manager and Superintendent. Hired by the late Harvey I. Britton in 1963, Mr. Laplante became the Company’s first construction foreman.
Mr. Laplante is very active in the industry and has recently completed a two-year term as President of the CMEQ (Corporation of Master Electricians of Québec). He has also served as a member of its Executive Committee. As well, he was President of the l’ACQ Métropolitaine from 1996-2003.
Mr. Laplante is married and enjoys golfing, hunting and photography.
