The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating SystemTM encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.

LEED is a certification program and an internationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.

Britton Electric has the expertise and is fully qualified to work on projects at all LEED certification levels. For these projects we incorporate LEED specifications in our proposals.

We are proud to have worked on numerous LEED projects including Les Pavillons Lassonde at Université de Montréal’s École Polytechnique. These were the first buildings in the province of Québec to follow this internationally recognized state-of-the-art construction.

Library and Archives Canada / Bibliothèque et Archives Canada – Gold LEED Certification

Library and Archives Canada / Bibliothèque et Archives Canada is located in Gatineau, Québec. This new state-of-the-art preservation facility is next to the existing Centre and will provide additional archival storage capacity.

Îlot Balmoral – Silver LEED Certification

Îlot Balmoral, a flagship building at the heart of Quartier des spectacles and houses, among others the National Film Board (NFB) and UQAC’s École des arts numériques, de l’animation et du design (NAD School). 

IKEA Distribution Centre – Silver LEED Certification

IKEA Distribution Centre located in Beauharnois, Québec serving all of Québec and Ontario. Complex represents a total of 1,050,000 square feet / 97 500 square meters.
