- Prepare work for estimation by gathering proposals, quotes, plans, and tender documents;
- Identify and review the general and specific conditions of a project;
- Calculate costs by analyzing labor and material needs accurately;
- Obtain quotes from suppliers;
- Conduct quantity and material surveys accurately;
- Present the prepared estimate to the chief estimator and/or project manager;
- Able to attend site visits (when required);
- Propose, analyze, and suggest alternatives to what is specified in the drawings;
- Preparation of formal bids.

- Knowledge of estimation software and on-screen plan reading;
- Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code;
- Knowledge of MS Office suite software (Outlook-Word-Excel);
- Dynamism, versatility, autonomy, and initiative;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage emergencies, stress, and deadlines;
- Good oral and written communication skills in French and English;
- Ability to work well in a team.
