Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and stage tools, materials, and equipment for electrical crews based on job orders
- Pick, pack, and label items such as hand tools, power tools, cables, testers, and electrical components
- Inspect tools and equipment (e.g., drills, meters, extension cords) for safety and functionality before dispatch
- Clean and maintain tools, including removing debris, checking cords, and ensuring proper storage
- Track tool usage and ensure all equipment is returned and accounted for
- Assist with inventory control, stock replenishment, and reporting missing or damaged items
- Organize the tool room and storage areas for easy access and efficiency
- Follow electrical safety standards and company procedures when handling equipment
- Dispose of waste materials and maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace
- Support electricians and supervisors with additional tool or material needs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical tools and equipment (e.g., multimeters, conduit tools, power drills)
- Ability to read and follow work orders or pick lists
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physically able to lift and move tools and materials
- Understanding of workplace safety practices (electrical safety is an asset)
